An essential place for the country's functionning. This modern building was inspired by tipycal architectural elements (coatings, bricks, tiles…) of the former colonial buildings. It shelters the 51 memebers of the economic, social and cultural council (ESCC) which is the fourth institution of French Polynesia. The ESCC has an advisory role to the government and the Assembly of French Polynesia. It gives its opinions concerning the “country's bills” and develops reports with recommandations about the topics it chooses to examine.
