In the heart of the capital, the artist Ravello conceived an impressive fresco on the building Norman Hall. It was realized in two panels, placed in 45 degrees, by a two-storeyed height. The fresco represents the history of the english ship Bounty, commanded by captain Blight, who had come to Tahiti to look for feet of the breadfruit tree ( uru ). These trees must be planted in the British colonies to be able to feed at a lower cost the slaves. But a mutiny burst just after the departure of Tahiti and the project failed.
