A place which is incontrovertible. This wonderful high colored and full of emotions meeting place remain the historical, cultural and most of all social center of Papeete. The ambiance is in full swing everyday as soon as 6 o’clock AM. The numerous colored stands offer local tubers and fruits like breadfruits, wild bananas, taro’s roots or sweet potatoes. Upstairs numerous artisans’ stalls display seashell necklaces and vegetable fibers weaved hats.
