Papeete Harbor

Papeete harbor offers a great pass and a deep entry. It’s from the mid-nineteenth century that begins development of the port of Papeete. In 1843, Admiral Bruat French Government proposes to choose as the capital of Papeete, and as a port. With the arrival of the Pacific Experimentation Centre (PRC) in 1963, the port to build facilities modern and remarkable for the Pacific region. Today, the passenger port is the second French port, especially through heavy traffic with the sister island of Moorea.
